Now that the season is coming to an end, there are just a few more details to discuss and tasks to complete. Please read carefully …
- Varsity Awards Banquet, Tuesday night, May 31st. All team members and parents are invited to this all-school event. Starts at 6:00, Potluck. Come and enjoy your teammates and hear about all the sport seasons. Go to www.jebstuartcrew.org for more information about the festivities and a link to Sign Up Genius. Coach Mike will be there; come support the team and eat!
- Physicals, June 8th. Get your physical at a low cost for next year’s crew season. Forms go directly to the trainer’s office and the proceeds go to fund equipment and supplies for JEB Stuart HS trainers. Go to www.jebstuartcrew.org for link to sign up.
- Crew Boosters Meeting, June 8th at 7:30 p.m. Please come to our last meeting of the school year. We’ll wrap up the season and do a bit of planning for summer Green Days and for next year. Let me know if there is anything in particular you’d like on the agenda.
- End of Season Crew Awards/Potluck, June 12th (2:00 to 5:00). This year it will be held at the Broyhill Crest Pool located nearby at 7212 Early Street, Annandale. We will have an opportunity to relive the ups and downs of the season, thank our coaches and parents, and hear paper plate awards. Mark your calendars.
- ERGs for the Summer. Every summer the team loans out ERGs to rowers who are interested in improving their fitness over the summer and fall (until winter conditioning). Please let me know if you would like to take an ERG for the summer, and we’ll start compiling a list. Prior to loaning out the ERGs for the summer, Mr. Finley is going to do some annual, routine operations and maintenance on all the ERGS (thanks in advance).
