Look for Stuart Crew at Upcoming Events
Sept. 11: Car Wash. The crew team will be located in the parking lot near the corner of Rte. 7 and Patrick Henry at First Christian Church, 6165 Leesburg Pike.
Sept. 13: After School Interest Meeting. Returning rowers and assistant coaches will meet with interested new rowers at Stuart, Room E84, after school at 3:15 p.m.
Sept. 13: Crew Booster Meeting, 7:30 p.m. at JEB Stuart High School, Look for a sign on the door to indicate meeting room location.
Sept. 25, 1 to 4 pm: Open House on Lake Barcroft (weather dependent). A great opportunity for new rowers to experience some additional water time. Bring friends to give it a try — both ergs and shells will be available. Physical or swim test is not required. Waivers will be available on site.
Sept. 29: Back to School Night. Stuart Crew will man a table to greet new and returning students, sell Stuart Crew Brew, and recruit potential rowers. (Note: Time to be announced)
Oct. 2: Car Wash. Last one for 2016. Find us in the parking lot near the corner of Rte. 7 and Patrick Henry at First Christian Church, 6165 Leesburg Pike.
Oct. 1–30: Wreath, Poinsettia, and Crew Brew Coffee Sales. Out annual fundraiser kicks off October 1. Order beautiful holiday greenery for your home or as gifts that can be shipped direct across the country. Here at home, the crew team will deliver wreath, poinsettias, and locally roasted Stuart Crew Brew to your doorstep on Saturday, December 3.
Nov. 2: General Membership and Crew Interest Meeting. The whole team turns out for this annual meeting when you can get a formal introduction to the team and meet the coaches. (Note: Date subject to change)
Nov. 17: Winter conditioning begins. Crew-sponsored winter conditioning meets in the Dance Studio to prepare for the spring season. Stay tuned for more information.
Home football games (Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Oct. 6, and Oct. 21). Look for crew boosters near the spirit wear table. In October, we’ll be taking orders at the games for our annual wreaths, poinsettias and coffee sale.
