Prince William Rowing Club Erg Sprints is this Saturday (Jan 28th)! We currently have 15 rowers who will compete in individual events. For the women – Pasha, Erin, Isabelle, India, Vivian, Brooke, Leilani, and Margaret; for the men – Vince, Noah, Parker, Warner, Charles, Brandon, and Jimmy; Caroline and Parker will cox. We plan to enter three mixed relay teams which will include some additional participants – Sam, Alex, and Long (the coaches will discuss final relay lineups this week). Also, we have five parent/child relay teams—Yu & Long Luu, Sonja & Isabelle Schrock, Anna & Parker Leonard, Paul & Noah Taylor, and Freya Margand & India Verardi. It’s great to see some of our new rowers coming, as well as some parent rowing involvement.
There is no charge to participate, but PWRC requires a USRowing waiver form (this is different from the one you’re doing online for us). Paper copies went home with the rowers last Thursday with a request that they come back signed tomorrow (Monday). Attached is a blank waiver to download and complete.
If you’re not listed above and still want to participate, it’s not too late … let me know soon and I’ll update our registration paperwork.
The venue is Gold’s Gym, Dillingham Square, 12550 Dillingham Square, Woodbridge, VA 22192. The competition starts with our freshman at 2:00 pm … registration and the warmup area will open at 1:00 pm. No registration action on your part will be required if I have all the waivers in hand.
