On Saturday, March 11, we move shells from Beach 4 at Lake Barcroft back to the rowing facility at Sandy Run. You are all invited to come help move boats, lash them to the trailers, transport riggers in your cars, etc… Due to a band event, we are going to be down several experienced rowers tomorrow. We can really use parental help to facilitate the process. We are also going to need parents to transport rowers to and from Sandy Run.
Here is the ROUGH schedule for tomorrow:
- 9:00 Meet at Beach 4 and begin to load boats. Rowers are planning on derigging tonight so should be able to move right to moving boats in the morning
- 10:00 to 11:00 Need Parents to Drive their Rowers to Sandy Run and help unload boats, move them to the boathouse and put riggers on.
- We should finish about 1:00 or 2:00 depending on how many people we have. Take your rowers home.
Please dress warmly and for the weather.
Typically the rowers head to 5 Guys or some other place after they are finished, but you might want to pack a lunch if you will need one. No planned lunch.
Also, there are several Signup Genius available for your involvement below. Help the team stay organized and nourished as the season gets underway. Take a look and sign up early and often. We are almost there. Thanks to Holly, Tricia, and Nancy for putting these together.
