This Saturday, April 22nd. Regatta at Occoquan. Follow VASRA for most up-to-date schedule. Look for Coach Mike’s e-mail with the heat sheet with times. Thanks to Aust’s for hosting pasta dinner on Friday night pasta dinner again this week immediately after practice. We could use a bit more fruit and cut up veggies for the rowers to refuel between races and a parent volunteer to clean up the snack table. Sign up to bring/send something with your rower.
This Sunday, April 23rd. Support Lake Barcroft Earth Day Event. Earth Day is right around the corner—closer than it was when this sign-up was first e-mailed to you a few days ago! We’ll gather this Sunday, April 23rd at Lake Barcroft’s Beach 5 (off Waterway) from 12:30-5:30 p.m. to support the community celebration. In order to have everything ready, we’ll need help beginning at 11:30 a.m. Clean-up begins at 4:30 p.m. All families are asked to take part in this fun event, which also earns some money for the team (over $1,000 last year). Please see the Sign-Up which recently has been UPDATED. This includes pre-event shopping, grilling, baking and supporting the event by selling concessions. We especially need rowers to do “Race-A-Rower” challenge. The more people who stay to help clean up, the quicker it will go! Plus, it’s a totally fun event. Questions? Comments? Contact Catherine.
