From a senior parent volunteer, a few words about Saturday’s workday at Sandy Run …
I wish I could go this Saturday as well, but I can’t.
Among other things, we removed, broke down, and disposed of two sections of the launch dock. The big task was moving two brand new sections over (16 guys + — it was hard) and putting one of them in place. I believe they are going to try to put the second piece in place this Saturday. There were other tasks that didn’t involve a lot of lifting, as there is always plenty to do, like bundling and inventorying buoys, and re-spooling line. It was a good time and provided an opportunity to chat with other crew parents about issues of common concern. Turns out we are more alike than we are different. Below are a few pics.
