M-LT-4+:  Caroline Reze (cox), Noah Taylor(bow), Kurt Finkenstaedt, Jimmy Sidney, Markus Ferrell

Please be prepared for the cold … come dressed in layers and pack 2 full sets of extra clothes.

Coxswains meeting at 9:30 AM; lightweight weigh-ins from 9-11 AM. Races begin at 11:00 AM

This is the smallest regatta of the year and a great way to get to know what to expect. Rowers, even if you are not competing, please come and cheer on your teammates and get a sense of what this is all about. EVERYONE, rowers and spectators, please dress WARMLY (layers, gloves, hats) and wear warm, COMFORTABLE shoes. It is typically a bit colder on/near the water, and it can be windy. Download directions or click to map to Sandy Run Rowing facility.

A few additional hints:

  • Parking is $20 per car — this fee helps fund VASRA (Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association), course maintenance, etc.
  • The walk to the grandstands is about a mile — there is a shuttle that costs  $3.00 each way if you are interested in getting a ride to the grandstands. That said, it is a scenic 1.25 mile walk through the woods. Give yourself time to get there.

See you on Saturday!
