Congratulations to our competitors yesterday! All our boats rowed well and should be competitive in the upper tier of their categories going forward.

First place finish for the men’s quad (Charles/Brandon/Steven/Julian)

Second place finish for the women’s quad (Pasha/Mackenzie/Brooke/Isabelle)

Second place finish for men’s light 4 (Caroline (cox)/Markus/Jimmy/Kurt/Noah)

My thanks to all the rowers and parents who came out yesterday to support the team. Thanks also to Ms Gioseffi who captured the action and has already posted photos on the team site.

For next week — we’ll train Monday to Friday starting at 3:30 p.m. using the carpools organized by Ms Mullane. [See Saturday’s email from team account.] There is no regatta next Saturday due to the Passover/Easter observances; nor will we practice that day.

One caution for those driving — the speed limit in the park is 15 MPH and it is strictly enforced. If caught speeding you will be excluded from the park that day; a second time, and you’re out for a week; a third time, and your season is over.

Good news — the Shine On repairs are complete, and the shell will be coming back tomorrow. The new 4+ will be delivered at the same time. Both boats will need to be rigged before practice tomorrow.

Keep up the good work!
