Only one day left at Lake Barcroft. We had our last Saturday practice … check out Heidi’s pics at Justice Rowing photo/video gallery.

At the end of this week we’ll pack up our Beach 4 training camp and return home to Sandy Run Regional Park. We’ll start some derigging on Friday, with the trailer load finalized on Saturday morning. At Sandy Run, we’ll get all our equipment ready for our first Occoquan practice the following Monday. Saturday will be a long day. ALL rowers should support this move, please make every effort to deconflict other activities.

In two weeks we’ll participate in the Polar Bear Regatta … more on that next week. Experienced rowers, make sure your coaches know your availability for that weekend.

This went out on Twitter, but for those who didn’t see it, here’s a good article on rowing.

This week holds promise of some warmer temps … perhaps a bit windy at the start. Please make sure you’re fully prepared for practice … layers, extra clothes, water, snacks, etc.

See you at the beach …

Coach Mike
