It was good to see many of you at the Kickoff Pasta Party Friday night. Unfortunately we didn’t get to race yesterday, but next weekend we’ll participate in the Regional Park Regatta at Sandy Run.

The weather forecast generally looks better this week. There might be showers/rain on Monday, but the temp will be higher than last week, so at this point we will plan to row—make sure you have a waterproof outer layer and dry clothes to change into after you come off the water.

Almost half the team will be headed to Orlando this week on the Music Department trip. We’re aware of the Tuesday trip meeting at the school so the bus will leave earlier from Sandy Run to support those attending the meeting. With the smaller number of rowers attending practice on Thu/Fri the Booster President, Mr. Trissell, is attempting to organize carpools to save the bus expense ($450/day).

I will share the regatta schedule as soon as VASRA releases it this week. Rowers not going on the music trip, make sure your coach is aware of any known absences so they can plan lineups for this week.
