TREMENDOUS OPEN HOUSE EFFORT BY EVERYONE! I want to thank everyone who came out and supported the open house effort to introduce the Justice High School Rowing program to new comers. Well done! [Note of big thanks from Coach Rob.]

2) URGENT—Oct. 12/13 and 19/20 are Wreath, Poinsettia and Coffee door-to-door sales. We need rowers and parent drivers to sign up. Rowers need to complete three routes. If the next two weekends don’t work for you, please coordinate with Agnetta Palacios (WP&C Coordinator) to pick up a packet and find another time (but still with an adult and another rower). Please go to our Sign Up Genius and sign up today to keep us competitive on the water tomorrow!

NOTE: Dues only cover 1/2 of the cost of running the program. All other expenses are covered by your fundraising efforts like the WP&C sales, which is our biggest fundraiser of the year! So please sign up today and keep Justice High School Rowing rowing.

3) URGENT—Spread the word! Please share the news with your neighborhoods, places of worship, restaurants. More information is available at our website or download the attached flyer. Online orders will help get to people our rowers can’t reach by foot and save time on data entry. Please share the link to our storefront on your listservs throughout the month. An image to share in our outreach is below for download.

4) Mandatory Registration Interest Meeting, Justice High School—Oct. 29. Come register for crew, pay the annual dues, and sign up to be a volunteer in one of many areas where we need help. There is something for everyone no matter your skillset. No experience required! Scholarships available. Make the process faster for you and your parents. Bring completed forms to the meeting. Forms are online. Bring a friend!

5) Head of the Occoquan (HOTO) Launch Drivers needed—Justice Rowing traditionally has provided two launches and drivers for this regatta, Nov. 2 and 3. Please contact David Trissell at justicerowing@gmail.com if you have experience driving a launch and are available and interested.

6) ERG return. If you borrowed a Justice Rowing ERG over the summer, now is the time to clean it, put new batteries in it, and get ready to return in on Nov. 4 at Justice High School. It’s a school holiday, but Coach Rob will be available to receive them. Watch for more details to follow.
