Week Behind
We had a great trip to Philadelphia for the 96th Stotesbury Cup Regatta. While none of our five boats advanced out of the time trials on Friday, we had some spectacular rows. This was highlighted by the Men’s Junior Quad which dropped 13 seconds from their States time, even though the race on Friday was into a strong headwind where everyone else’s times were worse. Everyone rowed hard and left the race feeling like they had given it their all.

Week Ahead
We will see the level of interest in practicing this week and the availability of coaches before making a determination about practice for the rest of the week. (Coach Nate contracted Strep throat and may/not be available).
As we approach the end of season awards and planning ahead, rowers who are interested in potentially being a captain for next year should reach out to Coach Nate to express their interest.

Support the Justice Rowing crew! The time is 1-5 PM at the First Christian Church, 6165 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church — near Seven Corners and Patrick Henry. Please share with friends, neighbors and family. Justice crew is small but mighty and completely reliant upon fundraising as there are no funds provided by FCPS. Thank you for supporting our Justice rowers! All rowers are required to attend. For more information contact rowing parent volunteer Melanie Brookes-Weiss.
Justice Rowing Learn to Row Mini-Camp
We are looking for both adult and rower volunteers to help organize our Summer Learn to Row mini-camp for rising Freshmen to Justice High School, and others new to rowing. Camp lasts three days and is held at Sandy Run Regional park (where we practice). Adults are needed to arrange/proctor a swim test for all participants, and rowers are needed to help coach the elements of rowing, etc. Potential weeks for the camp will be June 19 or June 26. Please reach out if you can help!
