5 Actions to Take Today. Save the Date for Membership Meeting 11/6

Hello, Justice Rowing,

Some important reminders/announcements/updates:

1️⃣ Wreaths/Poinsettias/Coffee — We need to make a final push for our wreaths, poinsettias, and coffee fundraiser!! Take action today!

↗️ Share the fundraising letter via email or download the printable PDF to share with your family and friends, or

💻 Forward our email outreach

🎄 Buy some wreaths, poinsettias, and coffee yourself! Greenery makes a great gift for business associates and family members. We ship select items across the continental U.S.

2️⃣ Learn-to-Row Make-Up — We will make up our canceled Learn-to-Row on Sunday, October 27 at Sandy Run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will also bring in the launches and store the equipment for the winter. Any available rowers and parents are encouraged to participate. See the photo slideshow from LTR Day 2. 📷 Senior parent volunteer Sarit Schneider.

3️⃣ Head of the Occoquan (HOTO) Support — HOTO is taking place November 2 and 3 and each year Justice, Fairfax, and South County High Schools are offered the opportunity to organize parking for the HOTO race. The schools split $7500 based upon participation. Please sign up to participate if you can. Student volunteers earn community service hours and all volunteers can feel good about helping Justice Rowing meet our 20-22 person volunteer goal and help OBC with their parking task.

4️⃣ DATE CHANGE: Lake Barcroft Directory Distribution — Every few years Lake Barcroft prints and the crew team delivers directories for the community. The crew team distributes these as a thank you for letting us use the lake. We will deliver the directories on Friday, November 1 because the students do not have school. This can be a quick and fun event! We need at least 12 rowers and 6 adults (more are always welcome to come). We will meet at Bob Finley’s house where everything is organized and ready to go. Sign up Today!

5️⃣ General Membership Meeting — The Justice Rowing General Membership and Interest Meeting is taking place Wednesday, November 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Justice High School in the Student Commons area (near the cafeteria). This will be an opportunity to learn more about the season for both rowers and parents/guardians.

I realize that there will be conflicts with some of the dates above and other events occurring at Justice (i.e., marching band competition, parade, HOTO, etc.). Please participate as best you can.
