Clean and Paint the Trailer. Aug 2-3, 2025

Clean and Paint the Trailer. Aug 2-3, 2025
Hello! This is Stephen Blackadar. My Eagle Project is repainting the trailer that Justice Rowing uses to transport our shells to invitational regattas. It is taking place this weekend, and you can sign up here.
What can I expect to do? We need to remove the flaking paint from the trailer and repaint it to cover rusted areas. We want to both protect the trailer so it can be used for many years to come, and we also want to make it look good, so it serves as a good advertisement for the rowing team.

When is it happening? This weekend, August 2nd and 3rd. The plan is to remove the paint on the 2nd, and to repaint it on the 3rd. For both days, the time is planned to be from 9 am to 3:30 pm, but you can stay for however long you’d like. The rain day is currently August 10, also from 9 am to 3:30 pm. I will communicate with those signed up if we have to make adjustments.
Where will it be? We will be conducting this project in the parking lot across from Lake Barcroft’s Beach 2. Here is the address to the beach: 6424 Lakeview Dr. Falls Church, VA 22041. You can park in the street, then cross the road and walk along the gravel path until you come to the sign-in table.
What should I bring? First, wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind to get dirty. Gloves that can keep your hands safe from sharp objects is a good idea, and you should bring closed toed shoes that you can work in. If you have a hand sander, a wire brush, or an electrical or battery operated drill, we will use it. Everything else will be provided.

Will lunch be provided? Do you have to ask? Yes, of course!
What if I have more questions? Feel free to email me. If you’re an adult, please copy Mr. Hardy, the Scoutmaster.
Thank you so much, I look forward to seeing you at the project!
