Justice Rowing Supporters:
1) Registration is in full swing — A couple of reminders below:
a) Please register as soon as possible so that Coaches will have an idea for planning purposes (transportation, coaching, etc.). Please start your registration here
b) Please indicate on your registration form if you want to buy a rowing jacket. We need your order by Dec. 15, and we need a minimum of 6 orders; prices are 6-11 jackets ordered, $262.50; 12-23, $247.50; and 24-49, $237.50. Personal Names and graduation year $9.00.
2) Winter Conditioning. To participate, all rowers must have completed three forms and turn them in (hard copies) to Coach or Matt/Kelly Hardy at practice Monday. If we do not have these forms you will not be allowed to participate next week:
a) signed Field Trip Risk form;
b) signed Justice Rowing Liability release form; and
c) signed Emergency Care Information form.
UPDATE from Coach Nate:
• Winter Conditioning will start Thursday, Nov. 16 after school
• On Wednesday, Nov. 15, after school there will be a very brief (10-15 minutes) meeting in the usual winter conditioning room (C47) to check students into the JHS online system with their IDs and discuss other information; and
• JHS requires a completed physical using the VA State form and that the student is registered as an athlete in the online JHS system
3) Transportation Committee — We still need additional folks to step up to help us make transportation plans for next Spring. This includes reaching out to potential bus vendors/brokers/companies, exploring using the FCPS “Activities Bus” that each school has, or using rental vans to transport our team. Safety is the key, plus reliability and cost effectiveness. Please send an email if you are interested in serving.
4) Volunteers Needed for our Wreath, Poinsettia, and Coffee Delivery at Sleepy Hollow Bath and Racquet Club, Dec. 1 and 2. Stay tuned for a signup genius.
5) WE STILL NEED A BOOKKEEPER! If you have some financial experience (e.g., balancing a checkbook — remember those…), please let us know. Maximum time commitment is approximately 1 hour/month and it completes ALL of your volunteer hours for the entire year!
