It’s that time of year! Promotions for summer rowing camps have been hitting the J.E.B. Stuart Crew team inbox. Below are a few — check out the Camps and Clinics web page for a fuller listing. Remember to keep local camps in mind for great rowing opportunities without the overnight stay. Also note that the more popular programs fill up quickly.

Many of our rowers have spent their summers at local rowing programs to be more confident rowers by rowing daily and strengthening their skills. Local offerings include Resilient Rowing, operating out of Sandy Run, TBC Racing, which trains out of Thompson Boat Center in Washington, D.C., and ACR (Alexandria Community Rowing) on the Potomac.

Farther afield, GW and William and Mary’s rowing programs both reached out with the following appeals.

GW provided a Women’s Rowing Recruiting Questionnaire. GW is currently focusing on juniors (class of 2018); anyone is welcome to fill out the questionnaire.

Colonial Rowing Camp is in D.C. — a few Stuart rowers attended the GW camp and it’s a good option for a 2nd year rower.
