PWRC Results are In! The Team had a great showing yesterday at the PWRC ERG Sprints, with all members in attendance rowing their PR (personal records) and many rowers competing in multiple events [view slideshow of highlights; press the play button to watch the videos].

Boat Move this Saturday, 2/18 — ALL TEAM EVENT. This is an all-hands event and all rowers are required to participate unless an exception is allowed by the Coaches. ROWERS — please make sure to sign up so that we know you are attending.Got Snacks? For our boat move Saturday we need some parents to provide morning snacks for the team at Sandy Run or lunch (pizza/sandwiches/etc.) at Lake Barcroft. Please reply to this email if you can help out.
Safe Sport 2023 Updates. All adult volunteers who meet the below definitions must take the 90-minute SafeSport Trained course. A 30-minute Refresher course is available as part of this series after the initial training has been completed. Any member who is not defined as a Relevant Adult Participant (below), is not required to complete any form of SafeSport training. For more information, review our 2023 USRowing Safe Sport Policy.
Relevant Adult Participants
The following Relevant Adult Participants are required by the USRowing Safe Sport Policy and the U.S. Center for SafeSport to take SafeSport training:
- An employee or board member of USRowing or its Member Organizations
- Any person(s) authorized, approved, or appointed by USRowing or its Member Organizations to have Regular Contact with or authority over Minor Athletes. This may include volunteers, medical staff, trainers, chaperones, monitors, contract personnel, bus/van drivers, officials, adult athletes who have Regular Contact* with a Minor Athlete, staff, board members, and any other individual who meets the Adult Participant definition
- An adult athlete who has Regular Contact* with any Minor Athlete
- *Regular Contact Is defined as ongoing interaction where an Adult Participant is in a role of direct and active engagement with any amateur athlete who is a minor. USRowing defines ongoing interactions as five (5) or more instances of In-Program Contact during a 12-month period. For purposes of this definition, a competition is considered a single instance of In-Program Contact regardless of duration.
- Other examples of In-Program Contact include, but are not limited to:
- Competition
- Practices
- Camps/clinics
- Training/instructional sessions
- Pre/post game meals or outings
- Team travel
- Team- or sport-related relationship-building activities
- Celebrations
- Award ceremonies
- Banquets
- Team- or sport-related fundraising or community service
- Sport education
- Competition site visits
NEW Regatta Parking Information. Parking will rotate between two locations this year:
- South County High School located at 8501 Silverbrook Rd, Lorton, VA 22079 and
- The commuter parking lot at Old Bridge Road and Rt. 123.
